This summer I found myself going against the current. A little dip in the Basque Country at the end of June, just in time to avoid the July madness, a Chilean winter in August, and now Europe. September is quietly becoming my favorite month to be here.
The temperatures are divine, the crowds have faded, and those in hospitality are more relaxed. And let’s be honest, there is a certain thrill in prolonging the feeling of summer. We just completed the first part of our trip, and while Italy certainly does not need more praise, I still feel compelled to add my own.

The days spent in Tuscany — between Castellina in Chianti, San Gimignano, Siena, and Florence — confirmed the region’s timeless charm.
I spent hours admiring the rolling hills, breathing in the serenity, and watching in silence as the light transformed the landscape, until each sunset revealed yet another epic spectacle. Some of the most beautiful I have ever seen.

The purpose of the trip made it all the more special.
A dear friend was getting married at Castello La Leccia, and not only was I fortunate enough to be part of her intimate wedding, I also designed the bands that sealed the union.
For her, a variation on the La Ligne ring — an everyday piece with enough character to stand on its own while complementing the engagement ring passed down by her mother in law. We chose a blend of yellow gold, white gold, and diamonds.
For him, a substantial yellow gold textured band, elegant and strong. The idea was not to create matching rings, but to honor each personality as they step into their union.

The setting only heightened the beauty and meaning of the moment. As we gathered to celebrate two people we love, the air was filled with kindness.
Weddings never fail to remind me of the value of human connection.

Road tripping through Tuscany might sound like a cliché, but I would call it a classic — and for good reason.

The cycles of grandeur. The years of craftsmanship. The stories hidden in every material and form. And the truth that purpose and passion continue to outlast everything. All of it put things into perspective.
